As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint Counsellors who will be telephone based, to join our established Employee Assistance Team. We are looking for full-time or part-time applications to work between the hours of 8.30am and 8.30pm, Monday to Sunday. Part-time applications will need to be for a minimum of 18 hours per week.
The role will be based in our Fareham office. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate home working for this role.
The minimum qualification for this role is a post graduate diploma in Counselling, membership of BACP or BABCP and accredited or working towards accreditation.
The successful candidates will be answering Employee Assistance Programme calls and providing callers with counselling support as well as information, guidance or referral to in-house professionals or external experts for progression.
EAP Telephone Helpline Counsellors are principally responsible for making clinical decisions based on the callers presenting issues and needs and to ensure positive outcomes are achieved by encouraging the most suitable clinical intervention. It is essential that candidates have experience of conducting assessments with clients over the telephone and using an array of assessment tools. They also need be proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including the use of databases.
